Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Entry-Level Mold Designer. In this role, you will work closely with our engineering and manufacturing teams to design and develop molds for various products. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or someone early in their career to gain valuable experience in mold design and manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Utilize CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software to create detailed 2D and 3D designs of molds for injection molding processes.
Collaborate with engineers and product designers to understand project requirements and specifications.
Analyze designs for manufacturability, functionality, and cost-effectiveness.
Conduct feasibility studies and provide input during the design phase.
Generate technical drawings, specifications, and documentation necessary for mold fabrication.
Assist in prototype testing and validation to ensure molds meet quality and performance standards.
Participate in design reviews and provide recommendations for design improvements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for 2D and 3D modeling.
Strong understanding of engineering principles and manufacturing processes, particularly injection molding.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Good communication skills and the ability to effectively convey technical information.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience or coursework related to mold design or tooling.
Familiarity with mold flow analysis software (e.g., Moldflow).
Knowledge of materials used in injection molding processes.
Internship or practical experience in a related field.
